2009-03-06InkSpec SOLO Official ReleaseInkSpec is prood to announce the release of the InkSpec SOLO & SOLO2. For more information, please contact your InkSpec Representative. Continuous measurements and corrections to the smallest of changes in printing fluid viscosity make the InkSpec SOLO the PERFECT PRESS-SIDE ASSISTANT. The MICRO VIBRATING elements are completely immersed in the printing fluid flow and their resonance is maintained electronically. Using the integrated computer, the viscometer much like a musical instrument would emits sound waves in the printing fluid. A specialized detection circuit then analyzes the changes in these waves caused by the tiniest of variations in the printing fluid viscosity. Using proprietary algorithms these variations are translated into numerical data that can be displayed in Centipoises or seconds. IIS viscometers are designed to work in various environments with an InkSpec SOLO touch screen Console. Installed between the Printing fluid pump and printing deck, the IIS viscometer requires NO MOVING PARTS to monitor and control the printing fluid viscosity throughout the print job. The actual viscosity is detected in real time and displayed on the InkSpec SOLO touch screen Console. The actual and desired viscosity values are compared and, when necessary, the InkSpec SOLO triggers a control valve that injects a predetermined amount of adjuster fluid (solvent or amine solution) to maintain proper viscosity. Each injection is followed by a dwell time of several seconds to ensure thorough mixing of the fluid adjuster, thus avoiding over-corrections and flooding of the printing fluid pail. Even while this process is occurring the sensor continues to monitor the printing fluid viscosity and when the dwell period has lapsed the IIS viscometer is ready to apply more corrections as needed. Notwithstanding the safety of the Injection / Dwell cycle, an injection time safeguard is also built in to avoid extremely large one-time injections. Other news |
